An hour and a half plane ride away from Manila, Cagayan de Oro is considered the Adventure Capital of the Philippines. Aside from the white-water rafting CDO is famous for, the longest Zipline in Asia can now be found in the nearby town of Bukidnon -- Zipzone at Dahilayan Adventure Park.

Kuya Bong, our tour guide/driver is already waiting for us at the arrival area when we arrived. After having breakfast at McDonald's, we were all set for the first adventure of the trip -- Zipline! That would be another post so stay tuned.
We were finished by noon time and instead of going back to the city, we opted to have lunch at the Del Monte Clubhouse.

The servings were HUGE! I don't know if it was because of the adrenaline rush from the Zipline but I did finished my order while everyone only had one slab of beef. Everything, from the meat to the vegetables, were from the Del Monte farm so you can just imagine how fresh the food was.
While having lunch, I was also on the phone calling Kagay and checking if we can still make it to the afternoon rafting since the schedule is at 1230H. Good thing Kuya Bong was able to convince them to wait for us. Our white water rafting adventure will also be on another post.
After a very tiring and exhilarating day, it was time to take a shower and finally check-in at our home in CDO, the Mallberry Suites. Highly recommended! Clean rooms and convenient location, this is definitely the best place to stay in Cagayan de Oro.

Our last meal in CDO was very disappointing. We were supposed to have lunch at Bigby's but it was closed when we got there at 1400H, we crossed the street and found Mamma Maria's Pizzeria instead.
