Lutong Macau

Friday payday night in Makati is like the worst place for a hungry person ever!  We were supposed to try out Chic-Boy along Jupiter, but after 30 minutes of waiting for a parking slot and still no luck, we decided to just look for another place.  We saw Lutong Macau a couple of minutes away and thankfully, we were able to park right away.

In the Philippines, "Lutong Makaw" means that the outcome or decision has long been decided to give way to a "favored" party.  But what I can attest is that, there is no "Lutong Makaw" in Lutong Macau.

This is one "Lutong Macau" I don't mind.

Chinese food at affordable prices.

I want to try them all!

We were seated in the table next to a couple of chefs.  See the Man in the Mirror. 
That's enough confirmation for me that I'm in the right place.

On the table

Braised Seafood Pumpkin Cream Soup.  I super love this!

Hainanese Chicken.  My all time favorite dish.

Fried Spareribs with Salt & Pepper

Serendipity.  It was really a happy accident.  I never knew that there would come a time I will be thankful for the horrible traffic and lack of proper parking space in Makati.  Or else, I wouldn't have tried Lutong Macau and all the delicious Chinese food that they offer.

I will definitely go back.  Probably on a weekday.

Bill Amberg for Blackberry for Selfridges

This exclusive special edition Blackberry Bold 9780 was created by designer Bill Amberg and although it's available in six colors the yellow, was made exclusively for Selfridges. The backplate features Selfridges' earthy mustard yellow and it comes with a matching leather case that's crafted in Europe and polished until it shines with a sleek lacquered finish. Inside the limited edition phones are the first to come with the new BlackBerry 6 operating system and (I'm assuming) come loaded with a special Bill Amberg theme. Each of the six colors is limited to ten numbered editions, the Selfridges' yellow included. - Source

For GBP1000 each, I think I'll just wait for someone to give it to me.  Or just buy a red backplate for my BB. *wink*

Peanut Butter Co.

I'm not a big fan of peanut butter.  It's my last option when we ran out of liver, tuna, chicken or cheese spread (must be in that order) at home.  But when I read that Peanut Butter Company, an innovative place which serves pasta and sandwiches -- all with peanut butter in it, opened at the Mall of Asia, I knew I had to try it out.

I love the choices!

Peanut butter in all flavors you can think of.

Elvis, the King Sandwich.  Crunchy peanut butter slathered on grilled bread with
bacon strips and slices of banana. Deliciously sinful.

Roast Beef Sandwich. Tender beef strips slopped with
gravy on grilled bread with Cardamon Peanut Butter. 
Too good to be true? Because it is!
