I've read about this nondescript restaurant in the very busy Mongkok area where people line up for two hours, okay not literally line up, but wait for a table that long. I guess Tim Ho Wan, being the cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant in the world is worth the wait. From the hotel, we chose to ride the bus which means we only have to walk a couple of blocks compared to taking the MTR to Mongkok station. I saw a gathering of people from afar which was a giveaway that we've come to the right place.
Upon arrival, we immediately spoke with the person in charge of taking reservations and we were given no. 246. I was preparing myself to stand for about an hour or so when my hand was pulled and we were in!
Just 15 minutes of waiting and I am seated in a cramped space alongside locals and foreigners trying not to move too much.
Dimsum overload!

Pork Buns |
These babies sell like hotcakes! Almost all tables have one or two orders of this. |
Cheung Fan -- Rice noodle with Pork Asado |
Hakao -- Pure shrimp, no extenders just the way we like them! |
Beef Roll -- A bit salty. |
Spare Rib -- Another winner! Very tasty and delicious to the bones. |
A dinner meal for two which cost less than Php1000 at a Michelin-starred restaurant. How's that for a treat?!
