The ever-friendly staff of Calypso Grand Hotel recommended for us to try one of the most popular restaurants in Hanoi that serves superb Vietnamese and Western cuisine -- Green Mango. Since traveling in Vietnam is easy on the pocket, we taught of splurging a bit (in Vietnam standards) and treat ourselves to a nice restaurant after hours of walking around the Old Quarter.
DB and I arrived in time for dinner so most of the tables were already occupied. We were lucky to be seated right away and offered refreshments by the staff while we check out the menu.

Even if I was really hungry, I managed to take my time and savored every bite to prolong the pleasure and burst of flavors in my mouth! DB's Fillet Mignon cooked medium-rare was tender and juicy while my Mushroom Risotto was equally delicious and had the perfect consistency. It was definitely money well-spent.
I highly recommend Green Mango as one of the must-try's if you're planning to visit Hanoi soon.
