A Day in Paradise: My Adaaran Club Rannalhi Experience

Featured as one of the best resorts in Maldives, Adaaran Club Rannalhi sits exclusively at the tip of the South Male atoll with pristine white beaches and beautiful marine life surrounding the entire resort. The clearest and turquoise-blue waters was an amazing sight that got us all excited about as the speed boat approached the island resort. I had to pinch myself time and again to realize that it was not a fantasy but a reality that I am indeed in the tropical paradise of Maldives!

My friends and I booked an excursion trip to Adaaran Club Rannalhi thru Kaani Village & Spa on our 2nd day for an all-inclusive rate of Usd70/person while the speedboat fee c/o Kaani relied on the number of guests sharing the boat. To cut down costs, better book your tours upon arrival so the resort can offer it to the other guests to minimize your expenses. In our case, we paid Usd30/person (instead of Usd50/person) for the round trip transfers as we traveled alongside an Indian family of 6, making the total expense for a day in paradise to Usd100 only!

As Maldives is a Muslim country, drinking alcoholic beverages is prohibited in the local islands but can be ordered in the floating bars or in the island resorts. There are actually several exclusive resorts that offer excursion trips to budget travelers who wish to experience their amazing resorts but what sets Adaaran Club Rannalhi apart is that all types of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are included in the package! Other benefits included are the complimentary use of hotel facilities, all-day snacks and buffet lunch of international cuisine.

Pros: One of the more sulit island resort excursions in its price range, friendly and accommodating staff, stunning white sand beaches, great house reef perfect for snorkeling, mesmerizing sunset view, a plethora of activities and entertainment offered for a fee and most importantly, the same treatment accorded to day trippers and resort guests

Cons: No swimming pool, expensive WiFi and slow service at the buffet restaurant

It was a short yet sweet escape to the what I've always known Maldives is - a one of a kind tropical heaven with striking features both on land and under the sea. I may not have the chance to wake up in a water villa like I've dreamt of in the past but I will surely be back again with CS in the future and we'll conquer Maldives in style. Time to save up for the ultimate Maldives vacation!
