Hotel Review: Anantara Vacation Club, Phuket TH

The vacation that I've been dreaming of for the last few months!

It was 5-star service from the moment we were picked up at the airport by their private service to the check-in process at the welcome center. Everyone was friendly and attentive to our needs.

The pool villa that we stayed in deserves its own blog post so please watch out for that. For the meantime, I will share the club amenities and activities that we, as a family, truly enjoyed thus making it a great and luxurious holiday experience.

Priding itself as the perfect family getaway spot, Anantara Vacation Club made sure it offers activities for kids and teens of all ages. For younger kids, the Kids' Club has scheduled fun-filled activities such as art classes, wall climbing, puppet shows, and nature excursions while  the Teen Zone's hip and trendy vibe at the 2nd level is where teens usually hang out with a vast assortment of video games, game boards, and a cinema room.

Of course, the main pool is not to be missed with its refreshing waters and inviting colors while my daughter loved the kiddie pool area so much that she enjoyed playing for at least an hour or so. Thank goodness for UV-protected swimsuits and whoever invented sunscreen especially for kids!

Guests can also enjoy the nightly dive-in movie nights with top family flicks shown at 7PM onwards.

Whether you wish to eat light or heavy on buffet, Anantara has several restaurants offering international cuisine and are scattered across its vast property to make sure that you do not need to go out of the comforts of the resort. Sub Bar is a casual bar located by the pool area if you want to order familiar dishes like satay skewers, burger and fries, or fish and chips. It also serves ice cream, juices, and tropical cocktails from 11:00AM up until 7:00PM.

Taurus is an all-day dining restaurant open for breakfast from 6:30AM up to last dinner call at 11:00PM. On our last day in Anantara, we made sure to try out their BBQ and Steak dinner buffet for THB1500++ per person. Was it worth it? Scroll down to find out.

My verdict: It was worth the money and definitely worth the calories!

Pros: Luxurious tropical escape at its finest, exceptional Thai hospitality, delicious food and ample choices, and awesome facilities with curated activities for everyone.

Cons: None! Definitely one of the best family-oriented resorts we've ever been to.
