Dining at Buon Giorno is basically a no-brainer if you're looking for delicious and reasonably-priced Italian food in the cool city of Tagaytay.
It was a Saturday night that means waiting time could take up to 30 minutes (or sometimes an hour during peak hours) since its becoming a popular destination for tourists who visit Tagaytay City. That night wasn't an exception as the place was packed when we arrived.
Aside from the food and ambiance, what I love about Buon Giorno is how accommodating and efficient the staff are. Even if we were seated on the corner, the waiter in charge always looks into our side to check if we needed anything.

What we ordered
Complimentary basket of freshly-baked breads |
Gambreti E Funghi Ravioli - Php310.00 |
For some reasons, the filling tasted more like meat than shrimp and mushroom as stated on the menu that got us drooling in the first place. It also didn't help that the tomato sauce was too sour. We barely touched it and it was the first time we did not bother of having it packed to take home.
Prosciutto A Funghi - Php270.00 |
No meal of ours is complete if there's no Proscuitto A Funghi Pizza on the table! I love that they don't scrimp on the ingredients as the cheese was overflowing that blended well with the deep flavors of dry-cured ham and mushrooms on top.
Risotto Crimoso con Salmone Affumicto E Asparagi - Php280.00 |
After taking a bite, I knew right there and then that this dish will officially become my staple order in Buon Giorno from now on! The creamy Risotto with Smoked Salmon and Asparagus is definitely a perfect combination, a match made in heaven.
Nothing beats dining with the perfect partner by your side while having a sumptuous dinner overlooking Taal lake. #valentinesinjuly
