DB who is a true history buff, urged me to visit the Vietnam
National Museum of History on our last day in Hanoi. So after watching
the Puppet Show, we took a cab that brought us here.
The National Museum of Vietnam History became one of the country's center for culture, history and scientific research since its inauguration on September 3, 1958. The museum houses valuable artifacts and evidence of Vietnam's rich culture and tradition.
The exhibition rooms are arranged chronologically from the primitive life in the country to the 1945 Revolution that paved the way for the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The museum is divided into four sections:
- Vietnam in the Pre-History
- The Early National Construction of the Tran Dynasty
- Vietnam from the Ho Dynasty to the August 1945 Revolution
- Collection of the Champa Stone Sculptures
When traveling in places that is rich in stories and cultural diversity like Vietnam, a visit to the museums is like walking through history. So whether you're a history buff or a dedicated rambler, going to the Vietnam National Museum of History is one you shouldn't miss out.
