Hotel Review: Best Western Thousand Oaks Inn

In massive countries like the US, traveling between one state to another requires thorough planning because mistakes can cost you not only tons of money but wasted time as well. As we wanted to go to as many places as we possibly can, we try to book hotels that are along the way from where we're coming from and to where we're going next. After an afternoon spent at Malibu, we drove back to Thousand Oaks where we decided to spend a night at Best Western Inn.

One of the most popular hotel chains in the US, Best Western honors its timeless tradition of offering value, comfort and style with over 4,200 properties worldwide. While it usually takes me to read up to pages 2 to 3 of Tripadvisor and Agoda reviews before making a booking, reading a couple of good feedbacks on Best Western Thousand Oaks made me went ahead and reserved a room instantenously. After confirming our reservations, check-in was fuss free and really quick.

Best Western Thousand Oaks' convenient location at the foot of Santa Monica mountain range makes it an ideal base for people visiting Malibu and other nearby local attractions. For your spare time, the hotel also offers a variety of amenities to keep you entertained such as the business centre, a guest library, heated swimming pool and complimentary access to Gold's Gym.

As CS and I both knew that it was just a short stay, getting the cheapest room is the logical thing to do. True to its promise, our room was spacious, clean and well-kept as advertised. Standard room amenities include a balcony with freeway view, king size bed, desk/work area, complimentary WiFi, flat screen TV with cable channels and DVD player, microwave, refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, iron/ironing board, and private toilet/bath with Eco Pure toiletries.

Pros: Easy freeway access, complimentary parking, secured facility, great and friendly service, well-maintained room with a decent size tub and fast check-in/check-out process.

Cons: Outdated furniture and the $7.00 complimentary breakfast voucher per person won't get you anything for free with the restaurant's overly expensive menu.
