DB and I have been craving for Thai food lately so in a span of 2 days, we were back in the
land restaurant of Curries, Pad Thais and lots of Spices. The 2-storey restaurant of Koh Samui had one of the grandest interiors in all of the Thai restaurants I have ever been to. It made me more excited about my upcoming trip to Bangkok with my friends!
On the table
As we were browsing the menu, the waitress gave us a bowl of complimentary appetizer.
Spicy Black Fungus
It was yummy and most importantly -- it was refillable! I can't get enough of this Spicy Black Fungus even if it already numbed my lips and tongue.
Signature BBQ Neck Meat - Php420.00
It was actually my first time to try this Neck Meat because DB insisted that it's the best part of the pig. It was kinda weird chewing it at first because the combination of meat and fat made it really really soft that it didn't felt like eating pork. But when I dipped it in vinegar.. oh so addicting!
Singapore-style Braised Pork Knuckles - Php320.00
Another dish he was very happy to know was available in Koh Samui is this Singapore-style Braised Pork Knuckles! It was like the Filipino version of Paksiw na Pata but the ginger flavor was very distinct in this one.
Koh Samui Golden Curry (Chicken) - Php420.00
The Golden Curry was one of Koh Samui's bestsellers. It was delicious and not too spicy but definitely overpriced at Php420!
As we were finishing our dinner, the manager approached our table for a brief chit-chat. Moments later, she came back and handed a plate of this complimentary dessert which was a type of rice cake with Pandan and Coconut flavors.
Things I love about Koh Samui: delicious food, excellent service, the options are not limited to Thai food as they also carry other Asian cuisine and the tasteful interiors of the restaurant.
I can't wait to try more of their offerings soon!
