And our group's Palawan adventure continued with a tour of the famous Honda Bay in Puerto Princesa City. You can read my first time touring the beautiful islands along Honda Bay here.
After dropping our bags, the class rode two vans arranged by Sanctuary Tours (+639175911234) that took us to Sta. Lourdes Wharf where a large boat awaits. Since we're a big group, we were able to get a discounted rate of Php1, 100 per person that includes van and boat transfers, buffet lunch, tour guide services and entrance fees to all the islands we went.
Cowrie Island
Named after sea snails, Cowrie Island will make you wish you can spend
the whole day lounging by the beach, probably reading a book, with a
tall glass of Mango shake on the side. The calm crystal blue waters, the beige sand, the trees lined up along the shore and the relaxing view -- all of which bind to form the bewitching beauty of Cowrie.
Pambato Reef
A marine sanctuary in the middle of the ocean, Pambato Reef is the
perfect spot for people who loves to swim and snorkel. After a short
briefing, we were instructed to proceed to the other end of the bamboo
raft to start our snorkeling adventure.
I was excited to bring out my underwater camera for the first time but the murky water ruined my dream of capturing the amazing marine life of Pambato Reef. Of the numerous photos I took, only these four are the somewhat clear ones that I have.
Nevertheless, I had an incredible time swimming back and forth along with the colorful fishes while admiring the different types of corals beneath me. Such a fascinating view!
Luli Island
Last stop of our Honda Bay tour is the now infamous (an inside joke among the group) Luli Island, short for Lulubog, Lilitaw. Aside from snorkeling and swimming, we had a great time taking photos, eating homemade ice candies and just fooling around like kids. The time we spent in the island definitely brought the group closer and tighter!
I'm glad to have visited more islands and spots in Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa and I'm happy to have traveled with the Luli group. Until our next adventure guys and girls!
