Owned by Philippine Senator Ramon Mitra, Sta. Monica Ranch or more popularly known as Mitra's Ranch was another side trip the group went to before proceeding to Baker's Hill for lunch. The vast property is open to the public (except for the mansion) from 6am to 6pm for free!
In order to offer more activities aside from horseback riding and hiking, Mitra's Ranch opened the Palawan Rancho Zipline Adventure in 2011 for thrill-seeking guests like myself. For Php500 per person, one can get to ride the 300-meter and two 150-meter long zip lines. Sounds like fun right?
Too bad we only got to spend a few minutes in Mitra's Ranch so no zip line ride for me this time. Besides, my rumbling tummy is more compelling than my itch for adventure. Hunger is really a powerful motivator!
