I was in the Greenhills area one afternoon and I thought it's the perfect timing to try out Bistro Miyake. Although I've read a couple of bad reviews about the place, it still did not stop me from going there and experience it myself. As soon as I entered the door of Bistro, I knew I was in the right place, depicting modern Japanese and is very spacious. I was a bit turned off though because when I asked the first person I saw about my reservation, he just ignored me or pretended not hearing me. Oh well..
Instead of making a big fuss out of it, I just composed myself and did not ask him again. I just sat on the first table I saw available and caught the attention of another staff to order. Unlike the guy who ignored me, the lady was accommodating and very patient since it took us quite sometime to figure out what to have.
On the table
Chirashi. A bowl of Sushi rice topped with Tuna, Salmon, Maguro, Unagi and Tamago Sashimi.
A bowlful of fresh sashimi with sushi rice, you'll definitely never go wrong. |
Futo Maki. Over-sized maki filled with Unagi, Ebi, Takwan, Oboro,
Cucumber and Tamago. Very crunchy and very big servings. |
The meal wouldn't be complete if not for the wasabi. |
The Salad and |
Miso Soup comes with the bento. |
Gindara Bento comes with Miso Soup, House Salad, Otoshi, Gindara Steak, Miyake Beef Roll, Chicken Gyoza,
Gohan. I'm happy he ordered this for me. Heaven on the table! Everything was just perfect. |

By this time, I already forgot about my "encounter" with the guy staff earlier. |
