Max's Restaurant Antipolo

When I was a kid, my grandpa would always bring us to Max's Restaurant in Baclaran whenever there's an occasion -- birthdays, anniversaries etc.  We would travel for an hour just to have a taste of Max's signature dish - Fried Chicken with Jufran Ketchup. Fast forward today, my dad would still prefer to dine here even if there are a lot of restaurants near us.  It is definitely a classic favorite in the family.

And apparently with colleagues as well.

On the table

Crab & Corn Soup.  Just the right dose of creaminess.

Sizzling Tofu.  Thank you Ate Rhoda for ordering this.  It's so yummy!
Don't be deceived by the chili, it's not that spicy.

The Star of the Table.  Max's Fried Chicken (Shy type ayaw humarap LOL!).  Sarap to the bones!

Pancit Canton.  I was too busy with my chicken, I forgot to try this out.

Oriental Beef with Mushrooms.  A superb combination of sliced oriental beef and four assorted  mushrooms
(shiitake, wood ear, straw and button mushrooms).  I love beef and mushrooms so two thumbs up for this.

Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet.  We can barely taste the fish, the breading is overwhelming.

I wonder where my name came from.
