Bistro NYC and Bar

I was craving for Baby Back Ribs that night so DB suggested we go pay Uncle Cheffy a long overdue return visit. Upon reaching the 4th level of Two-Ecom Center, we were greeted with a wide-array of restaurants in Prism Plaza overlooking the famous Manila Bay. Since there are recently opened restaurants, we thought of checking it out first before deciding if I really want to dine at Uncle Cheffy or maybe try something new.

First stop was Bistro NYC and Bar, a restobar that serves upscale Modern-American comfort food paired with an extensive beverage selection. After checking the menu, we both agreed to try it out and see if the staff are telling us the truth that their food is really good!

On the table

Twice Cooked Pork Belly - Php285.00

Upon the staff's recommendation (they can be really persuasive I tell you), I had the Twice Cooked Pork Belly, one of Bistro NYC's bestsellers. The pork was tender and very very tasty with a chicharon-like crunchy skin! The maple and mustard sauce the rice came with was a welcome twist to this simple yet outstanding dish. Comfort food at its finest!

Salmon and Leeks - Php335.00

DB was on a diet and needed to cut on his cholesterol intake so he decided to order Salmon and Leeks. I got to taste a forkful of it which I thought was okay but the Salmon serving was really small! It was a rip-off for its price and if its the standard size that they will serve, better skip it and just try some other dish off their menu.

Bistro NYC's service was pretty impressive -- our orders came out fast and the staff never fail to check on us if we need anything. Efficient and quality service should really be a top priority among restaurant managers and owners. Besides, its one of the things your customers remember aside from your delicious and not so delicious food and its prices.

  1. Hello. I haven't been there in a while. Are they still in business? Their Sunday buffet is inexpensive but top notch.
