KC Place Serviced Apartment, Bangkok TH

Friends who have been to Bangkok reminded me constantly that hotels in the city is fairly cheap so its unacceptable to be living in a bad hotel and dirty neighborhood. Thank goodness for free cancellation policies, I was able to cancel my first choice upon reading bad reviews on that particular hotel in Pratunam. With just a few days before our departure, I chanced upon KC Place Serviced Apartment thru Tripadvisor.
 

KC Place is an apartment complex conveniently located near Ratchprarop Airport Rail Link Station, Pratunam market and lots of restaurants, massage places and money changers.

My friends and I booked thru Agoda since they offered the cheapest rate as compared to booking directly to the hotel and other hotel booking websites. For a 2-night stay, we paid Php8796 (taxes included) for a family room which is basically two connecting deluxe rooms.

The hotel required a deposit of Php3000 for incidental charges which is refundable upon check out.

Since we arrived in Bangkok around nine in the morning and early check in was not allowed due to the room's unavailability, we decided to leave our bags in the lobby while we wander around the streets of Bangkok. Later that day with full shopping bags on hand (Chatuchak Market burned holes in our pockets), we came back to KC Place to rest and change clothes.

What I love about the place aside from the elevator though tiny is very much appreciated with luggage in tow, is that they take the safety of the guests very seriously. Aside from the guard on duty, you cannot just walk in the building without the magnetic key card that also serves as your access card in the locked door at the lobby going to the rooms.

The staff brought us to our rooms located on the fourth floor of the apartment building. Our room, located on the far end of the hallway, was clean and well maintained.

All five of us were given a single bed each with soft and fresh pillows. Amenities of the room is pretty basic with an air-conditioning unit, refrigerator with complimentary bottled waters everyday, cabinet with safety deposit box and hairdryer, an LCD TV with limited English channels, coffee and tea making facilities, wireless Internet and hot and cold shower.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Bangkok, I highly recommend KC Place Serviced Apartment for its convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms, competitive rates and excellent service. Just always bring a location map of the place whenever you go out (cab drivers are not familiar with the hotel) and you're good to go!
