Birthday Lunch at King Crab House

It was the 1st of September and it was supposedly the start of my diet in preparation for the holiday season. By lunch time, I got a text that we will be celebrating my friend's birthday at King Crab House. I was with the celebrant the entire morning and I totally forgot it was her birthday! What a shame!

By noon time, together with 3 more friends, the five of us drove to King Crab House just beside the Duty Free Shop. The place was half full when we arrived so our orders started arriving in no time.

On the table

Shrimp Ball - Php350.00

The waiter forgot that we ordered Shrimp Balls so by the time it arrived, I was halfway thru my one cup of rice. It was good but I was saving up my calorie intake for more delicious treats like crabs and shrimps.

Calamares - Php250.00

Calamares goes perfectly well with the Chili Vinegar. It was not your ordinary round-shaped Calamares, this squid is huge they had to cut it into pieces. It was crispy and not hard to chew.

Steamed Live Suahe - Php300.00 per 250 grams

Steamed Suahe was the freshest you could find and I can't help but suck the shrimp's head up to the last drop of juice. It was sweet and I bet full of cholesterol!

Yang Chow Fried Rice - Php180.00

About three spoonful of rice and I managed to stay away from it because the best part of lunch has finally arrived -- Craaaaaabs!

King Crab Sotanghon - Php150.00 per 100 grams

This is my new favorite dish in the whole world! I know crab aligue is one of the most fattening foods but I can't help but dig deep into the sotanghon to get some and then some more.

Kangkong with Garlic - Php150.00

Conscience bite me a bit so I had this Kangkong with Garlic for a healthier alternative. It was going perfectly well until the waiter placed another plate of Spicy Chili Crab in front of me!

Spicy Chili Crab - Php150.00 per 100 grams

I mean, who can resist this big bad (delicious) boy right? Definitely not me!

Almond Lychee - Php120.00

For dessert, I had a bowl of Almond Lychee while my friends had the usual Mango Sango. It was a great ending for a day of pigging out.

Diet starts tomorrow! *wink*
