Pearl Farm Resort -- Day One

My friends and I booked a flight to Davao to have a relaxed and peaceful weekend at Pearl Farm Resort. After the two-hour boat trip, we finally set foot to one of the best resorts I have ever been to, and I believe, one of the finest in the country.

Samal Suites

Samal Houses

The Pagoda is being renovated but the bar on the second level is still open for business

Fresh pineapple juice were offered by the very friendly staff upon arrival.

So refreshing!

We presented the room slip given at the Marina in exchange for our room key.

We booked the Hill Top Room (Balay) which we got at a very good deal

The water is so inviting!

Can I please take this mirror home?

Who wants a massage? Meee!

Our room key

The path that leads to the Samal Suites

Balay I

Garden view

Its nice to lounge here if we brought a mosquito repellent with us

The room was nestled on top of the hill. And when I say on top, it meant climbing 50-steps to reach our room. Or more.

Room was neatly decorated and is very clean

It is also equipped with a mini-bar

We rested for a couple of hours (read: nap) and by the time we got out, it was sunset already.

White sand + clear blue water = Paradise

View from the Pagoda Bar

Happy hour means 50% off on all drinks. Hooray to all drinkers!
(By the way, I don't drink alcohol by choice)

We were tired and sleepy after dinner so we asked the receptionist to arrange a shuttle from the restaurant to our room. Climbing at this time is not an option.

Electric-powered car

Tomorrow is going to be a long and sunny day (I hope!). Can't wait to swim in the clear waters of Samal Island!
